The comprehensive triathlon training plan created by TRIQ consists of 4 different training phases:
Attention:
During the Taper & PRR Phase we do NOT consider the athlete’s availability. We rather follow an optimal and individual training regime that fulfills the purpose of those very important phases.
However, there is still an individualization of the taper & PRR phase that is based on the following factors:
- Race distance
- Prior volume levels per sport
If you cannot follow the schedule that is proposed, we highly recommend just skipping the planned workout for that day instead of trying to move things around so that they fit into your schedule! The risk is too high that you miss the purpose of the phase, namely to unlock the maximum potential and readiness for the race day. Unfavourable changes could destroy the hard work you have invested in the last weeks and months of training. The PRR phase is designed maximize your physiological as well as psychological recovery capabilities and prevent you from injuries.
